Would you like to meet my latest distraction?

Meet Missy. My 10 year old has begged for a kitty for quite a while now, so for his birthday, we found this little cutie. She comes from a rescue in House Springs, MO but we found her at PetSmart. I knew it was meant to be when my 7 year old held her by her neck and butt and she still came back for more lovin'.

Don't worry Wiley still gets lots o' lovin' too. Maybe even more because we don't want him to feel left out. They are getting along really great, now that the first few days of hissing have ended.

Quincy also had to say goodbye to another baby tooth! On 4th of July no less.

So, along with teaching camps and private art lessons, these are my latest excuses for not blogging. I have been painting a little though and I plan to be at the Contemporary Art Museum's Open Studios tomorrow July 26, 2009 from 10-4. Please come by if you are free!
