From the Darkness

Eggplant. What beautiful color. It caused me stress, because it is so bold and dark and rich. There is a fine line between its ability to beautify and its potential to obliterate. It was perfect for my thoughts and my mood. Things can go very dark in an artist's life just as in every one's I assume. Then, the warm red oxide and yellow ochre comes up and creates light with which to see everything again. The bright moments wouldn't be nearly as noticeable if there wasn't dark first. Kind of sick isn't it?
