My Vision Board for 2012

At the end of January, I did something I haven't done since college. I took an art workshop. Crazy really, that I haven't given myself that type of gift in all of these years. Actually, my friend Kristen Powers (kae pea) gave me that gift. She joined us at the gallery almost a year ago and I am so happy to have gotten to know her. She is helping me broaden my horizon by letting her fearless creative nature rub off on me. I am so grateful, because I needed a little nudge out of my safe zone. That is for sure. So I made a vision board in her workshop. I was ready for it after doing the journal work I had been doing in Stephanie Levy's Creative Courage course.

The other ladies in the class were so supportive and fun to be around. It was truly an enjoyable and creative time for me. There was no pressure, just fun. Kristen is in the middle with apron and to her left is on of our super sweet artists Mary Nasser. It was great getting to hang out with her for the evening also.

Here is my vision board so far. I don't feel that I am finished, but I am close. I plan to display it in my bedroom so I can be reminded of my vision of my life every morning before the day gets too busy.

  2. Looks like it was a great workshop. I love your vision board. I love the words you've chosen and especially the quote, 'I call it work, but there's nothing I'd rather do'. That's what work should be, shouldn't it?

    1. That's my favorite quote on there too! I have always felt guilty calling art, work because I enjoy it so much but it is my work. That phrase puts it into perspective doesn't it?

I know what you're saying about workshops - I haven't in years, either! Should find me a good one, this looks like so much fun!!
